Enjoyed my stay here very much. Nice location, not too far away from the center of town, but nice and quiet. Breakfast is filling and reasonably priced. I like the fact that there are 2 routers in the building to ensure a strong wifi signal. Many hotels advertise wifi but it is often difficult to get a good signal. The signal here is always strong. Nice hotel/hostel in a suburb of Colombo, good connection to town. Friendly and helpfull staff. Clean and very well equiped for this price. Would use it again.

For the price, Tropic Inn is really wonderful for a business traveller like me. Mt Lavinia is quiet and tucked away from the craze of Colombo and at the same time, not too far from everything. Good food can be found in restaurants all around Tropic Inn. Taxi is readily available with just 1 phone call away because the taxi HQ is just 10 minutes away. Value for money!

The tropic inn was very clean, quiet with a helpfull friendly staff and good free breakfast. Its better suited for 2 people traveling together though as all rooms are billed as double occupancy. anyway its a nice place to stopover on your way south from columbo airport, and the beach is 5 min away.

A very nice place, set in Mount Lavinia. On a quiet road, but less than 5 minutes walk to the beach, or a main road. Free pick up from the airport, restaurant with cheap, good food. The Hotel has been brilliant to stay in on a budget, it has all you need. Some of the rooms are smaller and so if it is too small they are great to be able to move. The food downstairs is good but expect to wait a while (however this is normal in Sri Lanka). Whatever your needs the staff are always happy to serve. The bathroom and room could of been aired better however due to the humid climate this can not be helped. A/C was perfect. All in all a very enjoyable stay , with the best bit the beach right down the road and even can travel to mount lavina hotel to use their pool and have a more up market experience on the side!!

The Tropic Inn was fantastic. We had a great room on the first floor, really large. Admittedly it was for three people but I looked into the other rooms for two and they were a good size too. We had our own bathroom and could not ask for more. Sheets and towells were spotless, breakfast was really great and I struggled to eat it all. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant there and it was undoubtedly the best food we had had so far in Sri Lanka. So cheap too. The service from all staff was nothing short of fantastic. The property is just a couple of minutes walk from the beach. We were given great information for going into Colombo and spent four hours with a driver taking us around to the anywhere we wanted to go. All in all I honestly could not find fault with one single thing and would recommend anyone to stay there. Great value

When my wife & I are on holiday in Sri Lanka, this is the only Hotel we took a great liking, from our first visit itself. All the departments in this Hotel are excellent, but the Rooms & Service along with the Buffet Breakfast gets the Maximum stars. In short when our holiday comes to an end , my wife says "I wish we can stay here for couple of more days", I'm sure that explains every thing about this place.. We ish all success to the Management & the friendly staff. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

I recently stayed in your hotel on my last visit to Colombo having stayed there on many previous occasions . As I was quite ill at the time I would like to thank your staff for their much appreciated help and concern and also to extend my thanks to the driver who took me to the airport.
